Users of Illustrator or other vector-based drawing program especially those that are in the advertising and publishing industry sometimes require sharpening and tracing of the actual logotype to make a vector version of it, not every picture can be achieved by auto-tracing or other similar feature.

A pretty nifty site WTF or WhatTheFont (what were you thinking? :D), can identify the font for you. It’s easy as uploading your scanned picture, using their font recognition system, a scanned image of the font will instantly find the closest matches in their font database.

With this, you can save hours and hours (even days T_T) of searching and comparing fonts on the web or the worse, having to trace the font! (yes…been there, done that).

It supports formats such as GIF, JPEG, TIFF, BMP.

Whenever you need some font-identifying help! There is WhatTheFont?! Check it out first! ^_^
